More Profile Information Options for Your Q&A Users

We’ve recently released an update that allows our customers to support more types of user information on user profiles and also provides the ability to select which fields will be supported on a system through the administration interface.

If you go into your administration interface, go to the “System Settings” area, and then click into “Feature Preferences.” You’ll see a new area where you’re able to select the profile information you want supported on your platform.  Only the information that you select will be available for your users to fill out and make available on their profiles.

Available fields include:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Title
  • About Me Text
  • Website
  • Twitter Url
  • Region
  • Country
  • Email
  • Home #
  • Office #
  • Mobile #
  • Fax #

These new fields allow you to cater your Q&A platform more specifically to your market, allowing users to display information that will help support and grow your community.
